The information must be related to Industrial Hygiene.
In general, if the publication aligns with the IH Rubrics or the Job Analysis document, it can be counted as IH. Diplomates are advised to consult with ABIH if there any questions about their content.

Book Chapters |
IH-related chapters in books or similar publications will be treated in most cases as a peer-reviewed publication.

Conference Proceedings |
These do not receive CM points due to their limited distribution.

Peer Reviewed |
The work was subjected to a knowledgeable peer(s) who has authority to accept, edit, or reject the work. Evaluation criteria are usually transparent, having rigor and discipline so that objectivity is maintained.

Non-peer reviewed articles |
An acceptable article must be > 500 words in length, technical in nature, pertain to IH subject matter and contain references.

Patents |
Patents are treated as a peer-reviewed publication and points are awarded as above. |
